Take from Broadway Dance Center, New York instructors!

Master Broadway Dance Center instructors J.T. Horenstein and Tony Guerrero (check out their bios below) will be in Bend on Saturday, November 11! Join us at Gotta Dance Studio & Company for an all-day workshop offering classes in tap, jazz technique, Latin jazz, musical theatre and disco. Click here to register! For those who register before October 1, classes are $20 per hour; $100 for the six-class series. For those who register after September 30, classes are $25 per hour; $135 for the six-class series. Payments will be automatically processed the first of October for those who registered between September 1 and September 30. Registrations after September 30 will need to account for payment the day of online enrollment. See Saturday’s schedule and teacher bios below.

Meet the Instructors!

JT Horenstein studied Opera and Theatre at Northwestern University, now lives in New York City and works on both coasts.

Currently serves as… Creative Director and Choreographer for Madison Square Gardens, Knicks City Dancers, Bryant Park, NYC, and RG Live Events, LA.

Career highlights… Creating and choreographing segments for Dancing With The Stars, The Sing Off, America’s Best Dance Crew, Academy Awards, Concerts, tours and videos for Ricky Martin, Liza Minnelli, Bette Midler, Garth Brooks, Brian Setzer Orchestra, My Chemical Romance.

Creative Direction… for Nike, Reebok, Nissan, Hyundai, Upfront Summit, Samsung, CES-Vegas and New York City Fashion weeks.

Performed on… Broadway, 1st National and European Tours (Grease, Tommy, La Cage Aux Folles, White Christmas), Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center, NYC (Cavalaria/ Pagliaci).

JT can be seen… on film in Fame, Rent, The Muppets, Stuart Little, The Flintstones, Jackass 2, and on TV on The Nanny, Suddenly Susan with Tony Bennett, and Mad TV. Currently on faculty at Broadway Dance Center, JT teaches theatre dance and acting through choreography around the globe.

JT’s Mission: “Get that DRAMA in your DANCE!”

Tony Guerrero is a Texas A&M graduate who has spent sixteen years in the NYC entertainment industry.

Currently serves as… Class creator and faculty member of Broadway Dance Center, Applause NY, Peridance and guest co-choreographer for the NY Knicks City Dancers and Brooklynettes.

Toured with… The US/Canada tour of Saturday Night Fever as the Latin Feature (plus a run on the Las Vegas Strip,) and toured the world three times with West Side Story (Bernardo.)

In New York… After his NYC debut in Rock Stars NYC (Off-Bwy,) Tony celebrates twelve seasons as a dancer/actor/stunt performer with the NY Metropolitan Opera, where he was last seen as the lead dancer in Cavelleria Rusticana/Pagliacci (presented Live in HD in movie theatres worldwide.)

On Stage… Tony’s other favorite theatre credits include Man of La Mancha, Urban Cowboy, Guys and Dolls, Evita, Tommy, La Cage…and Copacabana.

Recording Artists/Music Videos… Pitbull, The Lonely Island (featuring Nicki Minaj,) Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Lisa.

Favorite TV/Film… Orange is the New Black (Ahmed,) SNL, Younger, Person of Interest, The Wolf of Wall Street, Blindspot, The Get Down and HBO’s The Normal Heart.
